Figure 2.0 is a picture of an actual Mau Mau arch found by the colonial
government on October 23, 1952 in Kiambu, Nairobi. It is an arch like those
mentioned in many of the other descriptions, this one with a sacrificed cat at the
center. There was a message also written near this site stating, “With effect from
today, October 23, any person who continues to work for the whites will be
