Indicators of geographic concentration of industries industrial output

In the case of regional concentration the values of the Herfindfahl index dropped a little (0.86
times), the degree of regional concentration slightly increased (1.11 times).

In six years the absolute concentration did not change considerably in any of the branches. In the
case of the Budapest centred branches (machinery and equipment, textile, wearing apparel, leather
products, chemical industry, non-metallic mineral products, and the wood, paper and printing products,
chemical industry), we can experience a decrease.

The relative geographic concentration did not decrease in any counties, right the opposite, it
increased steadily owing to the spreading of machinery and equipment in Transdanubia and to the textile,

wearing apparel, leather industry.
