It doesn’t seem like that at C, does it.
When X came he was giving us a seminar and he
was saying how wonderful it all is and then all
of us, when we’re there in the morning, he just
stands up and shouts at the kids all morning.

So
as

I mean, everybody has commented on that,
it’s like the difference between the theory
presented by the head of department and what
we actually see.

I think really as well if you believe in
it, in the ethos of teaching you know in your

situat ion

because the kids are so

really quite hard to cope with because there’s
not many schools really that fit into our kind

of framework of

I know

changes on a limited scale

, you can make certain
but basically the

system is the controlling factor and you could

You go into a school where

be very unhappy,
you can’t fit in

a Foreign Language and I was taught and I was
given a basic fɪamework with which to teach and,
of course, I had to fill it out - with experience.

The security of that structure

however

is anathema to a fellow student:

I think they’re taught how to do that in
Modern Languages and they’re finding the course
really boring .....
