Agreement was most common among Asian students and least common amongst white
students. During phase one interviews large group of white students were vehemently
negative about voting.
‘I would vote so you can put the right man in. I don’t know why a lot of people don’t vote.
They obviously think that politicians are out for themselves or won’t do anything for the
community; it’s something like that.’
‘No I wouldn’t what’s the point? Nothing ever happens whoever you vote for.’
