BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE:

Dr Andrea Creech has extensive experience as a professional musician, music
teacher and researcher. Her PhD research was concerned with the impact on learning
outcomes of interpersonal interaction amongst violin students, their parents and
teachers. She is currently researcher at the Institute of Education, London, where she
has managed a number of funded research projects concerned with music education,
parenting and pupil behaviour and attainment.
