Shelter Inclusion Project represents a new approach to tackling antisocial behaviour and social exclusion.
The scheme was launched in 2002 in partnership with Rochdale Metropolitan Borough Council. The project was designed to provide an Alternative model to present enforcement policies and residential schemes by offering a specialist floating support service to help households identify and deal with the causes of their behaviour and learn how to resolve their situations. |

Develop a good relationship with other agency represent- atives, increase numbers of staff, information exchange, project staff continued to be involved with the Anti-Social behaviour Case conference panel and the case intervention group
Staff stressed Lheimportance of agencies having clear delineation from each other in their work so that service users could understand as far as possible which agency could help with which issues as well as avoiding duplication of services, (p 27) |
(a) The majority of households were referred by Rochdale Borough wide Housing
(b) During the period of the pilot, Shelter Inclusion Project operated a broad referral policy. The main criteria for referral were that: -households were homeless or faced homelessness in the near future -households had a history of antisocial behaviour - households were willing to engage with the service.
