1 The Social Composite Map (SCM) procedure uses frequencies of co-occurrence rather than
standardised data. Despite this, the resulting networks across all classes at Time 1 were almost
identical to the threshold method used here. There were inconsistencies in the placing of 3
individual children. This was due to a slightly more liberal inclusion threshold on the part of the
SCM procedure.
