Nutrition and Coronary Heart Disease

The estimate of the number of people with CHD is based on hospital separation data
provided in the SWSAHS Health Improvement Plan for CHD. This figure has been
adjusted to account for the specified age range of 25 to 75 years old.

Having accounted for the potential overlap within target groups, the effectiveness
figures used in this study are based on targeting a certain number of people in the
relevant community. Table 6 shows the relevant setting and target group and the
number of people in each target.
